RUSSIA
As of November 14, 2019, sugar beets were harvested from an area of 1.1 million hectares, or 96.8% of the area sown (in 2018 - 1.1 million hectares), 52.1 million tons of beets were collected (in 2018 - 40, 6 million tons) at an average yield of 46.96 MT/ha (in 2018 – 37.31 MT/ha).

Sugar beet harvesting is completed In the Republic of Tatarstan at the entire area of this crop. Sugar beets were harvested from an area of almost 63.6 thousand ha; 2 million 805 thousand tons collected at an average yield of 44.1 MT/ha. As of report date, 1 million 196.7 thousand tons of sugar beets were processed, and over 180.6 thousand tons of beet sugar were produced, the regional Ministry of Agriculture reports.
UKRAINE
According to Astarta company report, the sugar segment revenue decreased by 10% to EUR 87 million over 9 months due to a 12% decrease in sales down to 240 thousand tons (including 16 thousand tons of exports) and unfavourable prices. It is projected to produce 300 000 tons of sugar in current season, which is 15% less than in 2018. At the date of publication of the report, Astarta factories produced about 235 thousand tons of sugar.

As of November 14, 2019, 7.30 million tons of beets were processed and 1,085.0 thousand tons of sugar produced, Ukrtsukor reports.
KAZAKHSTAN
A sugar factory in the Pavlodar region is planned to be built before 2021. The development of the required documentation will be completed by the beginning of next year, and the construction of facilities will begin. The projects will be implemented by 2021, the total investment will amount to 58 billion Kaz Tenge, said the head of the region Bulat Bakauov.
