RUSSIA

As of September 16, 2019, sugar beets were harvested from an area of 275.6 thousand ha or 24.1% of the crop acreage (in 2018 - 250.4 thousand ha), 11.9 million tons were collected (in 2018 - 8.6 million tons) with average yield of 43.06 MT/ha (in 2018 – 34.53 MT/ha).

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated September 17, 2019, total 13 vessels have been nominated to carry 419250 MT of raw cane sugar in 2019 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 322850 MT from 10 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.

UKRAINE

As of September 16, 2019, 3 thousand hectares of sugar beet were harvested and 118 thousand tons collected, the Ministry of Economic Policy reports. The average yield of sugar beets is 38.48 MT/ha against 46.9 MT/ha in 2018.

BELARUS

By September 17, 2019, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 17.7 thousand hectares or 18.9% of the area sown (in 2018 - 16.3 thousand hectares), Sugar.Ru was informed in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus. About 799.2 thousand MT (in 2018 - 679.7 thousand MT) of beets were collected, with an average yield of 45.1 MT/ha (in 2018 – 41.6 MT/ha). The beet sugar content in the republic is 16.02% versus 16.04% for the same date last year.

AZERBAIJAN

According to the Azerbaijani Customs Service data processed by Sugar.Ru, the export of sugar and raw sugar amounted to 8.5 thousand tons in August 2019, in 8 months of 2019 the total volume of exports has made 46.49 thousand tons (in 2018 - 29.71 thousand tons).
