RUSSIA
According to Soyuzrossahar, from the beginning of the production season and as of September 11, 2019 Russia has produced 1.0 million tons of beet sugar. In 2018, the first million sugar was received on September 16th. To date, 64 out of 74 sugar refineries are operating.
BELARUS
By 12 September, 2019, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 12.8 thousand hectares or 13.6% of the area sown (in 2018 - 11.2 thousand hectares), Sugar.Ru was informed in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus. About 574.7 thousand MT (in 2018 - 463.1 thousand MT) of beets were collected, with an average yield of 45.04 MT/ha (in 2018 – 41.33 MT/ha). The beet sugar content in the republic is 15.82% versus 16.03% for the same date last year.
