The sugar beet processing season has started in the Krasnodar Territory. According to Veniamin Kondratyev, the Governor of the region, the first 2 thousand tons of sugar were produced at two sugar mills in the Kurganinsky and Leningradsky districts. According to Soyuzrossahar, by July 21, the sugar beet weight was 261 g average in Russia, which is 20% higher than last year, the weight of the tops was 248 g (+ 6%), and the average sucrose content was 13.33% (+1, 13). Sugar content is lower than last year only in Krasnodar (-0.24) and Stavropol (-0.3), Chechnya (-1.2), Mordovia (-0.28), Belgorod (-0.1) and Ryazan (- 2.6) regions.
