In May 2019 consumer prices for refined sugar in Russia decreased by 1.8% (by April 2019), according to Rosstat. Since the beginning of the year (by December 2018), consumer prices have decreased by 3.7%, and in annual terms (by May 2018) - an increase by 13%.
UKRAINE
According to the analysis of data by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine for January-May 2019, conducted by Sugar.Ru, import of sugar (HS code 1701) has made 607 MT (103.0% compared to the same period in 2018), export - 179169 MT (69.0% compared to the same period in 2018). For May 2019 import of sugar has made 114 MT, export - 41289 MT. The largest exporters to Ukraine in monetary terms were: Denmark (23.6%), France (13.6%), Mauritius (11.9%). The largest importers from Ukraine in monetary terms were: Azerbaijan (25.3%), Tajikistan (9.8%), Kyrgyzstan (6.7%).
