RUSSIA
According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated June 4, 2019, total 25 vessels have been nominated to carry 869844 MT of raw cane sugar in 2018-2019 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 717494 MT from 20 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.
KAZAKHSTAN
Consumer prices for sugar in Kazakhstan increased by 0.4% in May 2019 compared to the pervious month, the Statcom of Kazakhstan reports. From the beginning of the year (vs. December 2018), consumer prices for sugar increased by 0.7%, and on an annualized basis (by May 2018) - by 14.7%.

The head of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev has charged the government to ensure the planned construction of a sugar factory in the Zhambyl region as a matter of priority.
