RUSSIA

According to the operational data of Soyuzrossahar, as of May 6, area of 1039.1 thousand hectares (92.1% of the forecast) was sown with sugar beet in the Russian Federation. In 2018, on this date, 790.6 thousand hectares were sown. According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, on May 6, 2019, sowing of sugar beet (factory) in Russia was carried out on an area of more than 1 million hectares or 88.9% of the forecast area (in 2018 - 788.5 thousand hectares).

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated May 7, 2019, total 21 vessels have been nominated to carry 744994 MT of raw cane sugar in 2018-2019 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 685994 MT from 19 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.

ARMENIA

According to the analysis of data by Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, conducted by Sugar.Ru, in March 2019 the import of sugar (white and raw) (HS code 1701) has made 4 MT (2 976 MT in 2018). Totally in January - March 2019 Armenia imported 427 MT of sugar (white and raw) (11 092 MT in 2018).
