RUSSIA

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, as of April 26, 2019, sowing of sugar beet was carried out on an area of 834.5 thousand hectares or 73.4% of the forecast area in Russia (in 2018 - 401.1 thousand hectares).

The area of insured farmland can grow 5 times by 2025, said Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia Elena Fastova. She noted that in 2018 a new principle of distribution of the “single” subsidy from the federal budget was introduced - now the volume of funding to the region will depend on the plan for agricultural insurance.

KAZAKHSTAN

By April 29, 2019, sowing of sugar beet in Kazakhstan was performed on an area of 10.8 thousand hectares out of the planned 22.8 thousand hectares (in 2018, 7.8 thousand hectares out of 21.5 thousand hectares), Sugar was reported in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

BELARUS

The Ministry of Agricultural Production of the Republic of Belarus told to Sugar.ru that by April 29, 201 Belarusian farmers sowed 94 thousand hectares of sugar beet, which is 98.9% of the plan (last year - 83.7 thousand hectares, 84.9%). Belarus plans to sow in 2019, 95 thousand hectares of sugar beet.
