RUSSIA

According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS conducted by Sugar.ru, in January 2019 Russia has exported 52.4 thousand tons of molasses. According to the results of 1 months of molasses export campaign, Russia has shipped out 52.4 thousand tons (in 2018 - 70.2 thousand MT; in 2017 - 36.4 thousand MT). In the period January, the main countries importers of molasses from Russia were TURKEY (52.76%) and UKRAINE (13.61%).

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated March 12, 2019, total 19 vessels have been nominated to carry 685994 MT of raw cane sugar in 2018-2019 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 633194 MT from 18 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.

KAZAKHSTAN

According to Statkom of Kazakhstan, the wholesale price of white sugar in February 2019 decreased by 2.11 % and amounted to 232 Tenge/kg (in 2018 - 185 Tenge/kg, in 2017 - 232 Tenge/kg), or RUR 40.91/kg (at the rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation by the middle of the reporting month).

UKRAINE

According to the State Statistics Service, in January-December 2018, the total sales of sugar produced in the country amounted to UAH 15156.5 million excluding VAT and excise (about 35073 million rubles at the average annual exchange rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation), of which, the amount of sugar sold outside the country amounted to UAH 1691.0 million (about 3913 million rubles.), Which is equal to 11.16% of the total sales.
