RUSSIA

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 747.2 thousand hectares or 67.4% of the crop acreage (in 2017 - 739 thousand hectares).

Farmers in Lipetsk region have harvested over 2.5 million tons of sugar beet, the average crop yield in the region is 33.1 MT/ha. The sugar content in beet significantly exceeds last year's figures and is 19.3 percent. Six sugar factories in the Lipetsk region have already produced 276,000 tons of sugar, and it is planned to exceed the production volume of the last season, the regional press writes.

More than 1.5 million tons of sugar beet (which is 12.3% more than in 2017) were delivered to the sugar factories of Kursk region. The average sugar beet digestion is 17.75%, which is 0.75 percentage points higher than the 2017 level. More than a million tons of sugar beet was processed, about 200 thousand tons of sugar were produced with an increase of 21% compared to the level of 2017. This year, dried and granulated pulp are being produced at four sugar factories, which produced 14.5 thousand tons of commodities with 61.1% increase from the level of 2017, according to the administration of the region.

AZERBAIJAN

According to the figures by the customs service of Azerbaijan, processed by Sugar.Ru, in September 2018, sugar exports amounted to 6.04 thousand tons, in 9 months of 2018 - 35.74 thousand tons (in 2017 - 52.28 thousand tons). In September 2018, imports of sugar and raw sugar totaled 24.28 thousand tons, thus total imports made 173.13 thousand tons in January to September 2018 (in 2017 - 267.43 thousand tons).

BELARUS

By October 15, 2018, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 58.5 thousand hectares or 58.8% of the area sown (in 2017 - 56.4 thousand hectares), Sugar.Ru was informed in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus.
