RUSSIA
In 2018, sugar plants in the Kursk Region plans to store up for processing about 4.6 mln tons of sugar beet, including 3.1 mln tons of their own production.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, as of Jun 01, 2018, sugar beet was sown on an area of 1132.4 thousand hectares or 103.4% of the forecast (in 2017 - 1.2 million hectares).
KAZAKHSTAN
According to Statkom, sugar prices from producers increased by 1.7% in Kazakhstan in May 2018, compared to the previous month and by 4.1% from the beginning of the year (by December 2017)
Customs Union
The duty on import of raw sugar to the Customs Union remains at $ 250/MT in June 2018. The average monthly price for raw sugar at the ICE stock exchange was $ 260,78/MT in May 2018, respectively, the import duty in July 2018 will remain at the level $250/MT.
