RUSSIA

According to the analysis of the FCS data, Russia imported 16.7 thousand tons of white sugar in December 2017. By the end of 12 months, imports of white sugar by Russia amounted to 246.3 thousand tons, of which 205.2 thousand tons were imported from the CIS countries, and the remaining 41.1 thousand tons from non-CIS countries. In addition, in January-December 2017, Russia imported 14.4 thousand tons of raw sugar (probably unconditioned beet sugar and brown sugar), 8.0 thousand tons were imported from the CIS countries and 6.4 thousand tons from other foreign countries.

UKRAINE

Ukraine exported 76.36 thousand tons of sugar in January 2018, which is 17.21% more than the same period last year, the Ukrainian mass media reports. Since the beginning of 2017/18 MY, as of January 31, agrarians have processed 14.32 million tons of sugar beet.

BELARUS

According to the working plan of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus for the year of 2018 it is planned to produce 4902.0 thousand tons of sugar beet. To achieve this, the acreage of sugar beet is drafted to make 98.6 thousand hectares. In 2017, sugar beet crops in Belarus amounted to 97.7 thousand hectares, and gross harvest exceeded 5 million tons due to good field yields.
