RUSSIA

According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS in October 2017 Russia has exported 509.3 thousand tons of molasses. According to the results of 10 months of molasses export campaign, Russia has shipped out 509.3 thousand tons (in 2016 - 345.2 thousand MT; in 2015 - 216.3 thousand MT). In the period January - October 2017, the main countries importers of molasses from Russia were TURKEY (53.54%) and SPAIN (12.61%).

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, as of December 14, 2017, sugar beet in the country as a whole was excavated from an area of 1173.5 thousand hectares or 100% of the harvest area (in 2016, 1.1 million hectares).

KYRGYZSTAN

According to the Ministry of Economics, the areas sown with sugar beets amounted to 10.6 thousand hectares in 2017. In 2016, 638.1 thousand tons of sugar beet were harvested, from which 57.3 thousand tons of sugar were produced. In 2017, the harvest reached 671.5 thousand tons of sugar beets, and the amount of sugar produced was 78.5 thousand tons. The average retail price of refined sugar dropped by almost 1.5 soms/kg (1.26 RUR) for the month (47.48 soms/kg (about 40 RUR) in November and 46.09 soms/kg (38.82 RUR)in December).

AZERBAIJAN

According to the customs service of Azerbaijan, the export of sugar reached 4.4 thousand tons in November 2017, and 61.0 thousand tons for the period from January to September 2017 (140.6 thousand tons in 2016). Import of sugar and raw sugar in November reached 21.3 thousand tons, and 349.7 thousand tons for the period from January to September 2017 in total.
