According to Sugar.ru price monitoring data for the period from 16.11.2017 to 22.11.2017 the US dollar rate dropped by -1,3% (on 16.11 - RUR 60,25/$, on 22.11 - RUR 59,46/$). US dollar Moscow wholesale price for sugar increased by $0,034 /kg (+7,73%), Krasnodar wholesale price increased by $0,019 /kg (+4,58%).

On Monday afternoon the rise in sugar prices gave way to a decline. To speak of a full-fledged decline to a recent level of 22-23 rubles / kg is not yet possible, at the moment it is more like a correction, wholesale prices for wholesale shipments from factories are around 26-27 rubles per kilogram. Sugar prices are supported by several factors: a relatively low ruble rate, now the dollar costs about 59 rubles (recently dropped to 57), a significant volume of exports, a restriction in supply volumes by large companies, an increase in the price of a sugar contract at the stock exchange and incomprehensible prospects with harvesting the remaining crop .

Export of sugar by rail in November has grown significantly and makes impressive 34 thousand tons by November 22. The leader in the import of Russian sugar is Kazakhstan (11,800 tons), Azerbaijan is on its heels (10,400 tons), Uzbekistan has started to receive substantial amounts of 9,000 tons. Total, from the beginning of the season to November 22, Russia has exported 94.6 thousand tons of white sugar by rail, while in August-November of the previous season - 57 thousand tons. Sugar to Uzbekistan is already supplied by 10 Russian plants. To this, it is necessary to add hard-to-consider automobile exports to Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Armenia, and absolutely "sulfur" exports to the territory of Lugansk and Donetsk regions. If the current trend continues, sugar exports can be expected to exceed 400 thousand tons in the 2017/18 season.
