RUSSIA

 

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Ryazan region, as of February 15, 2016 the region has purchased 2.5 thousand seed units of sugar beet.

Russian consumer prices for sugar increased by 0.3% in the period February 16 to 20, 2016, while from the beginning of the year - by 4.5%, according to Rosstat.

According to customs declarations of FCS, Russia has exported 66.5 thousand tons of sugar beet pulp to countries outside the Customs Union in January 2016 (in 2015 – 36.1 thousand tons, in 2014 – 61.3 thousand tons). In January 2016, the main countries for imports of pulp from Russia were Latvia (35.06%) and Netherlands (30.85%). The largest exporters of pulp in one month are LLC "TRADE HOUSE SODRUZHESTVO" (17.72%) and LLC " TRADE HOUSE DOMINANT" (7.51%).


UKRAINE

At the initiative of Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, on February 24, 2016, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a bill on deregulation of the sugar industry.

BELARUS

The RB sugar stocks have amounted to 174 thousand tons on February 1, 2016, which is 14.7% less than was on January 1, 2016, reported STATCOM of Belarus.

KAZAKHSTAN

In Zhambyl region agrarians had sown 5.3 thousand hectares of sugar beet in 2015. In the plans for 2016 to bring crops of sweet root up to 12 thousand hectares. With 30-ies of the last century in Zhambyl region sugar beet was cultivated on an area of over 42 hectares.
