RUSSIA

According to Yevgeny Gromyko, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russian Federation, the share of domestically made sugar in the total volume of domestic sugar market is projected to reach 93.5% this year ( in 2014 - 92.5%, the threshold set by the Doctrine is 80%).

According Soyuzrossakhar, in the period August to November 23, 2015, the volume of sugar beet processed makes 27,510,100 tons (9.0% more than in 2014), white sugar production volume has reached 4,118,100 tons (9.2% more than 2014).

Farmers in the Nizhny Novgorod region have collected 187 900 tons of sugar beet (twice more than last year) by November 1, 2015, according to Nizhegorodstat.

Group of Companies "Rusagro" has acquired all the debentures from Vnesheconombank, as well as 19.97% of the Razguliay Group. The cost of the transaction amounted to RUR 33.9 billion, "Rusagro" has stated in its report.

 
KAZAKHSTAN

According to the Bureau of national statistics of Kazakhstan, imports of sugar (HS code 170199) from countries outside the EC has amounted to 138,900 tons in 10 months of 2015. The largest suppliers of sugar are Moldova (38%) and Poland (18%). Import of raw sugar (HS 170112-170114) to Kazakhstan has made 138,500 tons in the 10 months of 2015, of which 137,000 are from Brazil and 1500 tons from Cuba.
ARMENIA

In October 2015 the country has imported 19,892 tons of sugar and raw sugar (HS code 1701) valued US$ 8 044 thousand; 281 tons of other sugars (HS code 1702) for the total value of US$ 156 thousand; 2692.7 tons of molasses (HS code 1703 ) for total US$ 399 300, according to the National Statistics Service of Armenia.
UKRAINE

As of November 27, sugar beet was harvested from the area of236 thousand ha (99% of total) against the forecast of 238 thousand hectares; bulk volume collected makes 10 million MT with yields of 42.5 MT/ha (in 2014 – 46.4 MT/ha). Sugar industry was supplied with 9.3 mln tons, according to Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
MOLDOVA

In January-September 2015 the country has produced 8996.6 tons of sugar confectionery for the total value of 444.5 million Moldavian Leis (about RUR 7.0339 billion at the exchange rate of Central Bank of the Russian Federation), National Bureau of Statistics reported. Exports of goods listed in the category "sugar, sugar products and honey" have amounted to 43.8 million US dollars in January-September 2015 (14.8% less than in 2014). Imports for the same period have made USD 7 mln (51.8% less than in 2014).
