RUSSIA

Oleg Korolyov, Governor of Lipetsk Region, anticipates the production of sugar beet in the area will reach 5.5 million tons by 2020, and capacity of sugar factories will increase respectively. According to the Governor, in 2015 the region has received a historical regional record harvest of sugar beet – over 4150 thousand tons, produced 780 thousand tons of sugar, including over 600 thousand tons of beet sugar.

By November 26, 2015 Russia has harvested sugar beet from an area 992.2 thousand hectares or 97.7% of the crop acreage (in 2014 – 896.8 thousand hectares). Bulk volume of beet collected makes 37.7 million tons (in 2014 - 33.2 million tons), with yields of 37.97 MT/ha (in 2014 – 37.04 MT/ha).

Vnesheconombank (VEB) came out of the capital of agricultural holding "Razguliay" selling its share of 19.97% to"Rusagro". The transaction is dated 26 November.

 
UKRAINE

Agricultural enterprises of Ukraine, excluding the Crimea and Sevastopol, have sold 90.8 thousand tons of sugar in October, reports the State Statistics Service. In January-October the national agricultural enterprises have traded 801.4 thousand tons of sugar, which is 23.6% more than the same period in 2014.
KAZAKHSTAN

In October 2015 the volume of production of commodities from the category “raw sugar or refined sugar cane or beet; molasses” has made 41 thousand tons, according to the Statistical Agency. Thus in 2015 season (January-October 2015) the production of this category has made total 268.28 thousand tons, which is 9.6% less than in 2014.
