Farmers in Kursk region have completed sugar beet harvesting, according to the regional administration. Total harvested 3.6 million tons with yields of 37.5 MT from hectare.
Property of "Kuban Sugar Company" Ltd. will be sold at auction in electronic form at the website of electronic trade platform MTS "Fabrikant" in an open form of submission of price bids.
According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated November 3, 2015, total 35 vessels have been nominated to carry 1136050 MT of raw cane sugar in 2015 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 952580 MT from 30 vessels, based on sugar.ru data.
According to the Agency for Statistics, consumer prices for sugar in Kazakhstan increased by 9.2% in October 2015 compared to the previous month; from the beginning of the year the total increase made 18.1%. Sugar prices from manufacturers grew by 13.3%; from the beginning of the year (vs. December 2014) – by 19.1%.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine issued a draft decree on the regulation of the production of sugar and sugar beet in 2016/17 Marketing Year, which establishes the maximum volume of 1.67 million tons of quota for the supply of sugar to the domestic market (quota 'A') in the period from September 1, 2016 to September 1. 2017; the minimum price for sugar beet and sugar for the domestic market is suggested to be set at the level of UAH 616.99 and UAH 9078.87 /MT excluding VAT, respectively.
The country has collected 7.3 million tons of sugar beets from an area of 181 thousand hectares (76% of total acreage) by November 2. The average yield makes 40.5 MT/ha. The volume of 6.5 million tons was supplied to storage and processing facilities, according to Agriculture Ministry.
