The customs duty on imported raw sugar to the Customs Union (and to Russia altogether) has remained unchanged for November 2015 staying at US$ 250 per metric ton of raws. In December 2015, the import tax will decrease to $ 240/ton.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, sugar beet was collected from the area of 878,100 ha (86.5% of total acreage) by October 29, 2015. Wholesale price of sugar has not changed during a week from October 20 to October 26, retail price decreased by 0.4%.
According to the Union of Sugar Producers of Russia; the national industry has processed 19,740,300 tons, produced 2,906,800 tons of refined sugar in current marketing year by October 26, 2015 (10.1% more than in the same period of 2014).
The Court of Appeal confirmed the September decision of the Kursk Arbitration, refusing The Royal Bank of Scotland to be included in the register of creditors' claims of "Sugar Zolotukhino". The process regards the claims for the total amount of RUR 16.213 billion. The Royal Bank of Scotland is the largest creditor of the company, but the bank can’t possibly join the list of creditors, as the guarantee agreement issued was concluded on the basis of English law, where the limitation period is 12 years, and not under Russian law (three years)
According to the analysis of rail cargo shipments by sugar.ru, Kazakhstan has imported by rail transit Russia 182.1 thousand tons white and refined sugar for 10 months of 2015. The leader in the supply of sugar to Kazakhstan is Moldova (55.8 thousand tons) followed by Belarus (46.2 thousand tons).
According to "Belsahar", the sugar enterprises of Belarus have processed 1,773,100 tons of sugar beet by October 30 (in 2014 - 1,658,500 tons), and have produced 242,900 tons of white sugar (in 2014 – 223,500 MT).
The harvesting campaign in Belarus is scheduled to be completed until November 7, about 10 thousand hectares of sugar beet are still to be harvested; average sugar beet yield is 32.6 MT/ha, Deputy Agriculture Minister Vladimir Grakun has told.
Production volume of sugar factories owned by "Astarta" has reached 150 thousand tons from the beginning of marketing year and by October 30; the company has processed 1,000,000 tons of sugar beet. "Astarta" intends to produce about 350 thousand tons of sugar total this season.

In January-September the agricultural enterprises have traded 710.6 thousand tons of sugar, which is 28.9% more than the same period of 2014, reported the State Statistics Service.
