According to figures by the Ministry of Agriculture dated October 13, 2015; sugar beet was harvested from an area making 65.1% of the total crop acreage. Collected total 25 million MT of beet.
According to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine report covering 9 months (January - September) 2015, sugar imports (HS code 1701) have made the amount of US$ 907 000 (including US$ 39 000 in the last month reported), other sugars (HS code 1702) have made the amount of US$ 8.331 million (US$ 1.049 mln). Sugar exports (HS code 1701) have reached the amount of US$ 45.092 million (US$ 3.048 mln).
According to the State Statistics Service, the manufacture of sugar beet in Ukraine has made 1,963,100 tons in September 2015, which is 54% less vs. last year progress. From the beginning of harvesting the country has collected 1,979,800 tons of sugar beet by October 1, 2015.
