Russia has produced over 1.0 mln tons of beet sugar from the start of the production season (August 2015) by September 17, according to Soyuzrossakhar

Over the past week (September 8 to 14, 2015) Russia's consumer prices of sugar decreased by 0.1%, according to Rosstat. From the beginning of the year the price of sugar grew by 18.8%. The average consumer price for sugar in August 2015 has made RUR 54.9 for 1 kg, which is up RUR 3.55 from month ago.

According to price monitoring by sugar.ru for the period September 10 – 17, the US dollar has lost 2.5% against Russian Rouble (no Sept 10 – US$1=RUR 67.62and on Sept 17 the exchange rate was US$1=RUR 65.93). Moscow RUR price of sugar decreased by RUR 0.90/kg (-2.10%); in Krasnodar price decreased by RUR 0.80/kg (-1.96%). Moscow US dollar equivalent price of sugar rose by US$ 0.003/kg (+0.47%); Krasnodar price has added US$ 0.004/kg (+0.66%).

Orel region sugar plant "Livny Sugar" has manufactured 13.9 thousand tons of sugar from the beginning of the juice extracting season, and has accepted a supply of 98 117 MT of sugar beet.

Group of Companies "Rusagro" is going to assign "Prodimex" the right to claim the debt of "Sugar Zolotukhino" which is the largest Russian asset of the Kazakh agricultural holding "Ivolga". "Prodimex" plans to consolidate in its hands all the assets of "Ivolga" in Kursk region, except for one elevator, dairy and bakery plants. At the same time Kursk arbitration refused Royal Bank of Scotland to include claims of "Sugar Zolotukhino" in the register of creditors. These are the requirements for total RUR 16.213 billion - almost half of the entire outstanding loan debts of "Sugar Zolotukhino". The representatives of the bank in the course of proceedings have repeatedly tried to achieve disqualification of Judge Alexander Shumakova, arguing that he is "biased". Today the register holds claims for total RUR 890 million, most of which is the financial obligations to "Rusagro", which "Prodimex" tries to acquire from "Rusagro".
UKRAINE
According to the State Statistics Service, the average price for white sugar by manufacturers rose by UAH 72.79 in August 2015 and has made UAH 8274.84 per ton (or RUR 25 082.19/MT at the rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation established on September 17).

Farmers in Rovensky region have collected almost 70 thousand tons of sugar beet from 3 thousand hectares (30% of total) harvested. The average yield makes 26.1 MT/ha.
MOLDOVA
Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) will provide assistance to Moldova to assess and overcome the consequences of the drought this year.
