RUSSIA

The Russian Ministry of agriculture in its report dated September 14, 2015, informs: sugar beet was harvested from 236 200 ha (23.1% of total acreage); bulk harvest volume makes 9.1 mln MT at average field yield of 38.57 MT/ha.

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated September 15, 2015, total 32 vessels have been nominated to carry 1042630 MT of raw cane sugar in 2015 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 850130 MT from 26 vessels, based on sugar.ru data.

UKRAINE

Farmers in the Zhitomir region have harvested over 200 hectares of sugar beet by September 14, bulk harvest makes 9100 tons, hence, the average yield is 45.0 MT/ha. Total acreage of sugar beet in the region which is due harvesting makes 12,200 hectares, according to the regional administration.

KAZAKHSTAN

With annual domestic sugar consumption of 430 000 tons in Kazakhstan the country has imported 288,000 tons of raw sugar in August 2014 – July 2015, which is 25% less than in the same period of the previous season, according to Soyuzrossahar.

MOLDOVA

The farmers in northern regions of Moldova have started harvesting sugar beets, but because of dry summer farmers will collect average 22 to 25 tons from hectare this year. Beet growers say that about 10% of the crop will remain on the side-lines of beet fields as beet harvesting combines are not able to collect the beets of small size.

TAJIKISTAN

According to rail cargo Statistics by Sugar.Ru, Tajikistan has received 9875 tons of white sugar by rail transit Russia in 8 months of 2015.
