RUSSIA
Sugar beet harvesting is conducted in seven districts of Orel region: 3 sugar factories process beet. Zalegoschensky sugar factory plans to start work on September 10. Sugar beet is collected from an area of almost 10 thousand hectares (18.9%); harvest volume makes 291,830 tons of bets, with an average yield of 29.3 MT/ha. The average sucrose content is around 17.7%. The region has already produced 31,300 tons of sugar.

"Sugar factory of the Karachaevo-Cherkessya" (situated in Argun city) has started accepting and processing sugar beets. As of September 9, the volume collected makes 15 thousand tons, the volume processed – 10,000 tons with 623 tons of ready-made commodity in stock.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 162,700 hectares (15.9%) by September 8, 2015. Collected total 6.4 million tons, with yields of 39.07 MT/ha. According to Soyuzrossakhar data as of September 8, the area harvested makes 163.0 thousand hectares (16.0%), bulk harvest makes 6.4 million tons of sugar beet.
UKRAINE
According to the State Statistics Service, the price of sugar from producers increased by 1.2% in August 2015; from the beginning of the year - by 37.3%. A season of production of sugar from the new crop of beet has started in the country. Already 5000 tons of sugar was produced by September 9. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food forecasts reduction of sugar production by 42.9% (or by 0.9 million tons) to make around 1.2 million tons in the 2015/2016 marketing year (compared to the 2014/2015).
BELARUS
According to the Ministry of Agriculture report dated September 9, sugar beet was harvested from 6.4% of the crop acreage. Collected 161,400 tons of sugar beet; sucrose content measured at the acceptance was 17.70%. According to the Association "Belsahar" the four Belarus sugar enterprises have processed 105,200 tons of sugar beet from which they produced 10 400 tons of refined sugar.
UZBEKISTAN
Sugar production volume has reached 368 170 tons in January-August 2015, according to the Association of Food Industry of Uzbekistan.
KAZAKHSTAN
According to the National Customs Control Committee, Kazakhstan imported 152 thousand tons of sugar in the solid state (HS code 1701) and 3712 tons of molasses (HS code 1703) in January-July 2015. In July solely, imports of sugar in the solid state (HS code 1701) made 24,598.2 tons, worth US$12,282,400.
