According to the Ministry of Agriculture, as of April 20, 2015, sugar beet was seeded on an area of 350.3 thousand ha, or 35.7% of the forecast (in 2014 the progress was 318.900 thousand ha).

Stavropol region completed the sowing of sugar beet, reports the Governor press service.

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated April 21, 2015, total 10 vessel(s) have been nominated to carry 362950 mt of raw cane sugar in 2015 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 186350 mt from 5 vessel(s), based on sugar.ru data.
UKRAINE
As of April 17, sugar beet was sown on an area of 185 thousand hectares, or 67% of the forecast (in 2014 was 315 thousand ha).

According to the State Statistics Service, Ukraine has imported 235 tons of sugar (HS code 1701) and 1,422 tons of other sugars (HS code 1702) in January-February 2015. In addition, Ukraine exported 18,952 tons of sugar (HS code 1701), 3,016 tons of other sugars (HS code 1702), 41,7 thousand tons of molasses and 4,878 tons of bagasse (HS code 23032) in January-February 2015.
