RUSSIA
According Soyuzrossakhar figures dated March 30, farmers in Russian Federation have already sown 128,800 hectares (13.3% of the plan) with sugar beet, (in 2014 – progress was 80 300 ha). Agriculture Ministry reports that on March 30, 2015 - sugar beet was sown at around 130 400 ha in some regions of the South, the North Caucasus and Central Federal Districts or 13.3% of the forecast (in 2014 – progress was 70 200 ha).

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated March 31, 2015, total 10 vessels have been nominated to carry 350 350 MT of raw cane sugar in 2015 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 142 350 MT from 4 vessels, based on sugar.ru data.
UKRAINE
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, 10 regions of Ukraine began sowing sugar beet; as March 30 total acreage planted makes 28 000 hectares, or 9% of the forecast (in 2014 – progress was 152
MOLDOVA
Moldavian entrepreneurs Association intends to procure quite large consignment of sugar beet from Ukrainian agrarians, said Aurelia Victor, the food market expert. According to her, businessmen speak about over 50 thousand tons of beet crop, which will be sent for further processing to the factories
ARMENIA
In February 2015 Armenia has imported 1025.4 tons of sugar and raw sugar (HS code 1701) in the amount of US$ 662 800, according to the National Statistical Service.
