RUSSIA
Since the beginning of 2020, the Prodimex group of companies has exported about 250 000 tons of sugar, a figure for the first half of 2019 was about 65 thousand tons, a company representative told. At the same time, this year the company has already shipped about 100 thousand tons of sugar from Voronezh factories, doubling last year's figure (53 thousand tons). The largest share of exports fell to Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
KYRGYZSTAN
Consumer prices for refined granulated sugar in Kyrgyzstan have increased by 6.4 percent in the first quarter of 2020, the National Statistics Service published in its quarterly review. The maximum average consumer price for granulated sugar in March 2020 was recorded in the city of Nookat - 50 soms (46.87 rubles) per 1 kilogram.
