RUSSIA

According Soyuzrossakhar’ information dated October 7, 2015, Russia has produced 2.0 million tons of beet sugar from the new harvest. Sugar is produced at 72 sugar mills, 4 factories are not operating. Area of sugar beet harvested makes 518 thousand hectares (50.7%). Bulk harvest has reached 19.6 million MT.

From September 29 to October 5, 2015 Russian consumer prices for sugar have decreased by 0.7%; from the beginning of the year they have increased by 18.9%, according to Rosstat.

According to price monitoring by sugar.ru, in the period October 1 – 8, 2015 the US dollar value has dropped by 4.7% (On October 1 the exchange rate was US$ 1= 65.74 ; on October 8 the exchange rate was US$ 1= 65.762.71). Moscow RUR price of sugar rose by RUR 0.90/kg (+2.21%), Krasnodar price rose by RUR 1,00/kg (+2.53%). Moscow US dollar equivalent price of sugar rose by $ 0.044/kg (+7.11%), Krasnodar price rose by $ 0.045/kg (+7.49%).

VEB bank has decided not to sell the right to claim the debt and equity of "Razgulyai" to third companies, but to conduct a competition and understand the real value that the market is ready to give for these assets. Thus, VEB sent to all primary agricultural holdings a letter, stating “[bank is] considering the possibility of a package deal involving the assignment the investors' rights” on loan obligations of "Razgulyai", as well as bonds and shares of agricultural holding belonging to the State Bank.
KYRGYZSTAN

Factory "Kaindy-Kant" started processing the new crop sugar beet on October 4, 2015. On October 7 total volume of beet received has made 73.0 thousand tons including 4.5 tons processed and 250 tons of sugar produced. In the season of 2015-2016 beet sugar production is expected to reach about 20 thousand tons, accounting for 19.5% of the estimated sugar consumption in the country.
UKRAINE

In the 2015-2016 marketing year, Ukraine will have about 1.7 million tons of sugar available (including transitional carryover stocks). Such volume fully meets the demand of the population and the processing industry, told Dmitry Schulmeister, the director of the Department of Agriculture and Food Ministry Food.

According to the State Statistics Service, the price of sugar from producers has increased by 3.1% in September 2015, and from the beginning of the year – by 41.6%.
