RUSSIA
According to the price monitoring data by Sugar.ru, in the period March 03 – 10, 2016 the US dollar exchange rate has decreased by 1.7% (on March 03 – US$ 1=RUR 73.63; on 10 March - US$ 1=72.38). Moscow ruble price of sugar has decreased by RUR 0.90/kg (-2.09%), Krasnodar price has lost RUR 0.30/kg (-0.72%), but in some regions the price fall has paused. The maximum sugar price was registered in Khabarovsk – RUR 50.70/kg. US dollar equivalent price in Moscow fell by US$ 0.002/kg (-0.34%), in Krasnodar price grew by US$ 0.006/kg (+ 1.06%).

According to the Federal Customs Service, Russia has imported 15.4 thousand tons of raw cane sugar for the total value of US$ 4.9 mln in January 2016; imports of white sugar have made 32.6 thousand tons for total of US$ 17 million (the import statistics by FCS includes the evaluation of white sugar imports from the CU countries - Sugar.Ru).
UKRAINE
Further interventions performed by the Agrarian Fund of Ukraine shall destroy sugar production in Ukraine, says "Ukrtsukor", noting that the sugar produced in 2014 and 2015 (0.5 million tons and 1.4 million tons respectively) is quite sufficient for domestic consumption. According to "Ukrtsukor" in most cases, sales are carried out generally against cash, without attempts to issue any fiscal documents, thus certifying of mere theft of commodity from government stocks.

By March 10, Ukraine has used to full extent the quota on duty-free supply of sugar to the EU allocated for 2016 (20 000 tons).

According to the State Statistics Service, the total sales volume of sugar produced in the country has amounted to UAH 405.7 million (excluding VAT and excise duty) in Ukraine (excluding Crimea and Sevastopol) in the period January 2016.
MOLDOVA
According to the statistical bureau of Moldova, consumer prices for sugar increased by 0.2% in February 2016 and decreased by 0.2% from the beginning of this year.
ARMENIA
In February 2016 the average consumer price of sugar has increased by 1.2% though in year on year (February 2016 to February 2015) has dropped by 10%, the STATCOM reported.
