RUSSIA

The Russian consumer prices for sugar have increased by 0.1% in the period July 7 to 13,  2015; from the beginning of the year the growth has made 9.2%, according to Rosstat.

According to price monitoring by sugar.ru, in the period July 09 – 16, 2015 the US dollar exchange value has decreased by 1.0% (on July 09 the rate was US1= RUR 57.22; on July 16 the rate was US1= RUR 56.66). Moscow ruble price of sugar grew by RUR 1.20/kg (+2.79%), Krasnodar price grew by RUR 1.05/kg (+2.53%). Moscow US dollar equivalent price of sugar rose by US$ 0.028/kg (+3.72%), in Krasnodar price has added US$ 0.026/kg (+3.58%).

UKRAINE

According to the State Statistics Service, the volume of imports of goods classified under "Sugar and sugar confectionery" has amounted to US$ 12,337.2 thousand in January-May 2015, which is 53% less than in 2014. The value of exports for this category amounted to US$ 77172.5 thousand in January-May 2015, which is 39.2% more than in 2014.

KYRGYZSTAN

Kyrgyzstan has finished the sowing campaign of crops in 2015, according to the National Statistical Committee of the Republic. The acreage of sugar beet has significantly reduced (by 31%), totalling 5 thousand hectares (in 2014 – 7.3 thousand hectares).

LATVIA. LITHUANIA

According to the rail cargo monitoring data by Sugar.Ru, Lithuania has exported 9.2 thousand tons of white sugar by rail transit Russia in the first half of this year. The main receiver is Kazakhstan – 8.3 thousand tons. Latvia has delivered 679 tons of white sugar to Kazakhstan during the same period
