RUSSIA
Elena Astrakhantseva was appointed deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia. Earlier Ms. Astrakhantseva worked as deputy head of the secretariat of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, who is in charge of agriculture issues in the Russian government.

According to the figures by Williams Brasil report dated June 16, 2015, total 15 vessels have been nominated to carry 493 450 MT of raw cane sugar in 2015 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 423 450 MT from 12 vessels, based on sugar.ru

Sugar beet crops on the area of 906 hectares were affected by the hail, which happened in Stavropol region on May 30-31, 2015.
UKRAINE
According to the State Statistics Service, the volume of imports of goods classified as "Sugar and sugar confectionery" amounted to US$ 10,128,400 in January-April 2015, which is 54.1% less than in 2014. The value of exports in this category has made US$ 62,205.5 thousand in January-April 2015, which is 43.9% more than in 2014.
BELARUS
According to the National Statistics Committee, in May 2015 sugar production in the country has made 43 000 tons, which is 4.2% less versus April and by 16.8% lower than in May 2014. In January-May 2015 the industrial production of sugar in the Republic of Belarus has reached 173,400 tons, which is less by 27.2% than in the same period in 2014.
