BELARUS
The harvesting of sugar beets has begun in Belarus. The first plant to start beet processing will be the Slutsk sugar refinery, the last will be Zhabinka sugar plant – on September 20. In 2020, there was a reduction of sugar beet acreage in the country down to 82.3 thousand hectares, which is 12.7 thousand hectares less than last year. The projected harvest is 4.3 million tons of sugar beet, last year - 4.9 million tons.
