Sugar beet harvesting is completed on the entire area of 130 thousand hectares in the Lipetsk region. Over 5.5 million tons of sugar beet were received, an increase by 1.1 million tons from a year earlier. This is absolutely the best result in the entire history of the region, the regional administration reports. The average yield was 42.6 MT/ha (in 2018 – 33.25 MT/ha). A volume of 3.74 million tons of beets was processed, 583 thousand tons of sugar produced.

According to Sugar.Ru railway monitoring data, from the beginning of November to the current date, 1,300 tons of raw beet sugar were shipped from the Krasnoyaruzhsk sugar factory to Khorezm-Shakar (Uzbekistan). Most likely this is a trial supply within the framework of the mechanism of export of Russian sugar described by us.

Tatarstan plans to reduce sugar beet acreage by 6% from 2019 figure to 61 thousand hectares (64.7 thousand hectares in 2019) in 2020-2022, as part of the instructions of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan.

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated November 19, 2019, total 14 vessels have been nominated to carry 432750 MT of raw cane sugar in 2019 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 400250 MT from 13 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.
