According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, as of October 21, 2019, sugar beets were harvested from 804.4 thousand ha or 70.3% of the area sown; 36.2 million tons of beets were collected (in 2018 - 34 million tons); average yield makes 45.03 MT/ha (in 2018 – 36.14 MT/ha).


According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated October 22, 2019, total 13 vessels have been nominated to carry 400250 MT of raw cane sugar in 2019 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 400250 MT from 13 vessels, based on data.


By October 22, 2019, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 68.4 thousand hectares or 73.4% of the area sown (in 2018 - 72 thousand hectares), Sugar.Ru was informed in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus. About 3328.7 thousand MT (in 2018 - 3279.5 thousand MT) of beets were collected, with an average yield of 48.67 MT/ha (in 2018 – 45.56 MT/ha). The sugar content in beet in the republic is 16.71% versus 16.74% for the same date last year.


By October 21, 2019 Ukrainian farmers have harvested sugar beets from an area of 137 thousand hectares, or 62% of the forecast, and collected 6.0 million tons at average yield of 43.7 MT/ha, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine. Ukrtsukor reports, 4.28 million tons of beets were processed and 620.2 thousand tons of sugar produced by October 21, 2019.


According to the analysis of data by the Federal Customs Service of Ukraine, conducted by Sugar.Ru, in 8 months (January - August) 2019, export of white sugar (HS code 170199) has made total 212 660 MT, in August only - 4 459 MT. Import of white sugar (HS code 170199) has made total 733 MT, in August only - 85 MT. The largest exporter of white sugar to Ukraine is Denmark (260 MT). The main importer white sugar from Ukraine - Azerbaijan (45 563 MT).
