RUSSIA

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, as of October 14, 2019, sugar beets were harvested from an area of 682 thousand ha or 59.6% of the sown area, 30 million tons of beets collected (in 2018 - 26.6 million tons) with a yield of 44.04 MT/ha (in 2018 – 35.61 MT/ha). As of October 14, 2019 over 64% of the regional beet acreage was harvested in the Kursk region, more than 3 million tons of sugar beets  collected. The average yield makes 48.4 MT from a hectare.

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated October 15, 2019, total 13 vessels have been nominated to carry 400250 MT of raw cane sugar in 2019 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 388250 MT from 12 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.

BELARUS

By October 15, 2019, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 56.9 thousand hectares or 61% of the area sown (in 2018 - 58.5 thousand hectares), Sugar.Ru was informed in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus. About 2701.2 thousand MT (in 2018 - 2609 thousand MT) of beets were collected, with an average yield of 47.48 MT/ha (in 2018 – 44.6 MT/ha). The sugar content in beet in the republic is 16.64% versus 16.59% for the same date last year.
