According to FCS data analyzed by Sugar.Ru, Russia has imported 24.8 thousand tons of white sugar in August 2019. According to the results of 8 months of 2019, imports of white sugar in the Russian Federation amounted to 182.3 thousand tons (+ 3.0% by 2018). In addition, in January-August 2019, Russia imported 4.3 thousand tons of raw sugar (+ 13.6% by 2018).
UKRAINE
A total volume of 2.94 million tons of beets was processed and 418.1 thousand tons of sugar produced by October 11, 2019, Ukrtsukor reports.
BELARUS
By October 14, 2019, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 55.2 thousand hectares or 59.2% of the area sown (in 2018 - 56.6 thousand hectares), Sugar.Ru was informed in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus. About 2604.6 thousand MT (in 2018 - 2521 thousand MT) of beets were collected, with an average yield of 47.18 MT/ha (in 2018 – 44.52 MT/ha). The sugar content in beet in the republic is 16.61% versus 16.59% for the same date last year.
KYRGYZSTAN
According to the analysis of data by the Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, conducted by Sugar.Ru, for September 2019 average consumer sugar prices were 44.61 KGS / kg (-2.62% compared to the previous month, -6.83% YTD and -3.71% by September 2018) or 41.09 rubles / kg at the rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation for the middle of the reporting month.
