UKRAINE

As of September 20, 2019, total 690.6 thousand tons of beets were processed and 87.4 thousand tons of sugar produced, Ukrtsukor reports.

Sugar stocks with agricultural enterprises of Ukraine amounted to 114 322.3 tons as of September 1, 2019, which is 18.2% higher than on September 1, 2018. In January-August 2019, farmers sold 501.6 thousand tons of sugar, according to the State Statistics Service.

By September 20, 2019 Ukrainian farmers have harvested sugar beet from an area of 17 thousand hectares, or 8% of the forecast, and collected 791 thousand tons at an average yield of 45.43 MT/ha.

BELARUS

By September23, 2019, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 25 thousand hectares or 26.6% of the area sown (in 2018 - 23.4 thousand hectares), Sugar.Ru was informed in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus. About 1130.8 thousand MT (in 2018 - 989.1 thousand MT) of beets were collected, with an average yield of 45.32 MT/ha (in 2018 – 42.36 MT/ha). The beet sugar content in the republic is 16.23% versus 16.2% for the same date last year.
