RUSSIA

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, as of September 12, 2019, sugar beets were harvested from an area of 221.8 thousand ha or 19.4% of the crop acreage (in 2018 - 221.8 thousand ha), 9.6 million tons of beet collected (in 2018 - 7.7 million tons) with a yield of 43.28 MT/ha (in 2018 – 34.49 MT/ha).

All sixteen regional sugar factories of Krasnodar region are processing of sugar beets, the regional Ministry of agriculture reports. According to operative information from the sugar factories of the region, as of today they have accepted about 4 million tons of sugar beets for processing. Of these, about 3.7 million tons of raw materials have already been processed. Volume of sugar production exceeds 524 thousand tons, which is 36% more than last year.

BELARUS

By 13 September, 2019, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 13.6 thousand hectares or 14.6% of the area sown (in 2018 - 12.4 thousand hectares), Sugar.Ru was informed in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus. About 615.2 thousand MT (in 2018 - 512.5 thousand MT) of beets were collected, with an average yield of 45.09 MT/ha (in 2018 – 41.51 MT/ha). The beet sugar content in the republic is 15.86% versus 16.04% for the same date last year.

KYRGYZSTAN

According to the analysis of data by the Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, conducted by Sugar.Ru, for August 2019 average consumer sugar prices were 45.81 KGS / kg (-1.44% compared to the previous month, -4.32% YTD and -0.03% by August 2018) or 0.00 rubles / kg at the rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation for the middle of the reporting month
