RUSSIA

As of September 4, 2019, sugar beets were harvested from an area of 145.3 thousand ha or 12.7% of crop acreage (in 2018 - 132.8 thousand ha), 6.2 million tons of beets collected (in 2018 - 4.5 million tons) with average yield of 42.94 MT/ha (in 2018 – 34.23 MT/ha).

UKRAINE

Two sugar plants in the country are processing sugar beet as of September 3, 2019, according to Ukrtsukor information.

BELARUS

By 5 September, 2019, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 5.11 thousand hectares or 5.45% of the area sown (in 2018 - 3.88 thousand hectares), Sugar.Ru was informed in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus. About 225.3 thousand MT (in 2018 - 156.5 thousand MT) of beets were collected, with an average yield of 44.07 MT/ha (in 2018 – 40.36 MT/ha). The sugar content in beet makes country average 15.79% versus 16.04% for the same date last year.
