RUSSIA

According to provisional data from the FCS, sugar imports from non-CIS countries amounted to 19.8 million US dollars in July 2019. At the same time, the cost volume of sugar imports decreased by 10.5% in June on an annualized basis (by July 2018), according to the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (Sugar.Ru – as an option, the Federal Customs Service may include in the import of Belarusian sugar the total volume imported from foreign countries). In July 2018 sugar imports from non-CIS countries amounted to 22.1 million US dollars, and last month (in June 2019) amounted to 19.3 million US dollars.

GC Rusagro has completed the production of sugar from the extract. The processing of the extract obtained from molasses at a station in the Tambov region lasted from February to April and during July. As a result, the volume of extraction sugar production amounted to 31 thousand tons in 2019, the Rusagro press service reports.

CUSTOMS UNION

The duty on import of raw sugar to the Customs Union remains at $ 250/MT in August 2019. The average monthly price for raw sugar at the ICE stock exchange was $ 267,83/MT in July 2019, respectively, the import duty in September 2019 will remain at the level - $ 250/MT.
