According to Soyuzrossahar, as of July 21, 2019 the average weight of sugar beet and sugar content not only exceed the level of the past season, but are higher than the records set in 2017, so that the new season of 2019/20 may well set a new production highs.

The deliveries of the first sugar beets at Krasnodar plants are slightly delayed due to heavy rains and low digestion. The first plant (Leningradsky) plans to start processing tomorrow. By August 1, it is planned to launch Novokubansky, the plants of the Pokrovsky concern, the plants of Tkachev Agrocomple and Ust-Labinsky, however, these schedules may be delayed due to the incessant rains in the province. Dinskoy, Girey, Labinsky, Novopokrovsky plants draft to begin juice extraction after August 6.
UKRAINE
In 2019 season sugar beet was sown at 220.6 thousand hectares, which is 20.2% less than in 2018, as follows from the figures by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

In the first half of 2019 the agricultural holding Astarta-Kiev has reduced sugar sales by 17% or by 31.23 thousand tons, from 184.58 thousand tons in the first half of 2018 to 153.35 thousand tons in the first half of 2019. The average consumer price of sugar decreased by 9% to UAH 10 000/MT (RUR 24 250/MT).
