According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated April 23, 2019, total 20 vessels have been nominated to carry 717494 MT of raw cane sugar in 2018-2019 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 685994 MT from 19 vessels, based on data.


According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, as of April 22, 2019, Russia has sown sugar beet out on an area of 590.2 thousand hectares or 51.9% of the forecast area (299.5 thousand ha in 2018 on same date).


According to the analytical service of Soyuzrossahar, since the beginning of the year, duty-free imports of Ukrainian sugar to the territory of the Kaliningrad region are being performed. According to the Federal Customs Service of Russia, in January-February 2019, a total volume of 1,628 tons of white sugar were imported into the free economic zone.


According to analytical data from Ukrtsukor, the sugar beet acreage will be around 205-210 thousand hectares in Ukraine in 2019, which is 25% less than last year. As of April 22, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, total 202 thousand hectares were sown with sugar beet.


According to the Ministry of Agricultural Production of Belarus, as of April 23, 2019, Belarusian farmers have sown 82.1 thousand hectares with sugar beet, which is 85.5% of the plan (last year - 49 thousand hectares, 49.7%).
