RUSSIA
By April 12, 2019, almost all areas of the Belgorod region have started sowing sunflower and sugar beet with total 21 thousand hectares (36%) seeded already, reports the Department of AIC of the region.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, on April 12, 2019, Russia has sown sugar beet at 260.4 thousand hectares or 22.9% of the forecast area (in 2018 - 199.2 thousand hectares).
UKRAINE
According to Statkom of Ukraine, analyzed by Sugar.Ru, wholesale price of sugar increased over the month by 0.21% in March 2019 and has made 14.16 UAH/kg (in previous month - 14.13 UAH/kg, in March 2018 - 15.31 UAH/kg). Russian rouble equivalent price (at the exchange rate of the Russian Central Bank for the middle of the reporting month) has increased over the month by 0.23% in March 2019 and has made 34.78 RUB/kg (in previous month - 34.70 RUB/kg, in March 2018 - 33.56 RUB/kg). USD equivalent price (at the exchange rate of the Russian Central Bank for the middle of the reporting month) has increased over the month by 1.98% in March 2019 and has made 0.532 USD/kg (in previous month - 0.521 USD/kg, in March 2018 - 0.589 USD/kg)
KAZAKHSTAN
According to the Bureau of national statistics of Kazakhstan, conducted by Sugar.Ru, in February 2019 the import of sugar (HS code 1701) has made 24.21 thousand tons. In total in January - February 2019 were imported 40.87 thousand tons of sugar (44.94% compared to the same period in 2018). In 2018 were imported 90.95 thousand tons of sugar.
