According to the Ministry of Agriculture, as of March 29, 2019, farmers in the Krasnodar Territory and the Chechen Republic have seeded with sugar beet an area of 18.1 thousand hectares or 1.6% of the forecast area (in 2018 - 1.7 thousand . ha)
UKRAINE
As of March 29, 2019, farmers in 7 regions of Ukraine began sugar beet sowing campaign, the seeding was carried out on an area of 27 thousand hectares or 11% of the forecast, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

In 2018 Ukraine exported 109.2 thousand tons of granulated sugar beet pulp, which is 9.2 thousand tons more than in 2017. Ukrainian exports went to the Republic of Korea (24%), Poland (18%), China (15%), Ireland (13%) and Italy (13%), said Ruslan Butilo, deputy chairman of the Ukrtsukor association.
KAZAKHSTAN
The Almaty region of Kazakhstan plans to increase the acreage of sugar beet from 11 to 14 thousand hectares in 2019. It is expected that 485 thousand tons of sugar beet will be received and more than 50 thousand tons of sugar will be produced, the local press reports.
CUSTOMS UNION
The duty on import of raw sugar to the Customs Union remains at $ 250/MT in April 2019. The average monthly price for raw sugar at the ICE stock exchange was $ 274,89/MT in March 2019, respectively, the import duty in May 2019 will remain at the level $250/MT.
