RUSSIA

According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS conducted by Sugar.ru, in January 2019 Russia has exported 126.6 thousand tons of beet pulp. According to the results of 1 months of beet pulp export campaign, Russia has shipped out 126.6 thousand tons (in 2018 - 166.3 thousand MT; in 2017 - 92.0 thousand MT). In the period January, the main countries importers of beet pulp from Russia were LATVIA (31.68%) and NETHERLANDS (19.73%).

The Ministry of Agriculture has published a plan of activities of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation for 2019-2024 on the gross collection of sugar beet and the production of white sugar.

UKRAINE

According to the analysis of data by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine for January-February 2019, conducted by Sugar.Ru, import of sugar (HS code 1701) has made 261 MT (99.0% compared to the same period in 2018), export - 75441 MT (64.0% compared to the same period in 2018). For February 2019 import of sugar has made 137 MT, export - 34167 MT. The largest exporters to Ukraine in monetary terms were: Denmark (41.8%), Romania (14.6%), France (13.6%). The largest importers from Ukraine in monetary terms were: Azerbaijan (18.8%), Kyrgyzstan (13.0%), United Kingdom (11.7%).

Agrarians of Volyn region plan to sow 12.5 thousand hectares (in 2018 - 12.1 thousand hectares) with sugar beet in 2019, the administration of the region reports.

According to "Ukrtsukor", in 2018 a record yield of sugar beet of 49.8 MT/ha was recorded. The average daily processing rate by a sugar factory increased to 4,324 thousand tons (4.063 in 2017). Sugar production of the first category increased to 49.22%.
