RUSSIA

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, by September 14, 2018, sugar beet was harvested from the area of 250.4 thousand hectares or 22.2% of the acreage sown (in 2017 - 271.0 thousand hectares). In Tambov region farmers have harvested 23.459 thousand hectares (22% of the plan) as of September 14, the bulk harvest amounted to 734.623 thousand tons; the average yield of 31.3 MT/ ha. In Zainsky district of Tatarstan, the yield of sugar beet reaches 41.1 MT/ ha.

Kazakhstan

According to the analysis of data by the Bureau of national statistics of Kazakhstan, conducted by Sugar.Ru, in 7 months (January - July) of 2018 with the EEA countries, imports of refined sugar (HS 170199) have made130.3 thousand MT. Major supplier were Russia (61%), Belarus (30%) and Kirgizia (9%).

Kyrgyzstan

According to the analysis of data by the Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, conducted by Sugar.Ru, for August 2018 average consumer sugar prices were 45.82 KGS / kg (-4.86% compared to the previous month, -4.35% YTD and -21.79% by August 2017) or 41.78 rubles / kg at the rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation for the middle of the reporting month.
