RUSSIA
According to Rosstat’ data, processed by Sugar.Ru, the sale of sugar by large and medium-sized wholesale companies decreased to 224509.52 tons in January 2018 (-25.14% against the previous month and + 105.68% against January of the previous year).

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated March 6, 2018, total 23 vessels have been nominated to carry 803520 MT of raw cane sugar in 2017/18 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 737020 MT from 21 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.
UKRAINE
ED&F Man Ukraine, expecting an excess of sugar in the Ukrainian market in the coming season, has temporarily suspended the production of sugar at the Zaselsky sugar factory.
ARMENIA
The average consumer price of sugar fell by 0.4% in Armenia in February 2018, and in annual terms (February 2018 vs. February 2017) the consumer prices for sugar decreased by 9.5%, the national Statkom reports.
MOLDOVA
Moldova Zahăr ceases its membership in the Union of Sugar Producers of the Republic of Moldova, stating that "continuing to be part of the Union not only does not favor the company, it contradicts the interests of the Polish investor."
