RUSSIA

Lopandinsky sugar refinery has processed more than 225 thousand tons of sugar beet in the season 2017/18. Total 32 257 tons of sugar were produced. The production yield has made average 14.3%, in the previous season - 13.43%. This is the best result for the time of the enterprise.

UKRAINE

Sugar industry of Ukraine has paid 3.1 billion UAH of taxes in 2017 (RUR 6.52 billion rubles at the current rate). The industry employs 85,000 people. Last season, sugar production totaled 2.1 million tons. At the same time, Ukraine became an export "breakthrough" for the world and shipped over 700,000 tons of commodities, "said Andrey Dykun, chairman of the National Center for Science and Technology "Ukrtsukor."

KAZAKHSTAN

Kazakhstan sugar prices from manufacturers increased 0.1% in February 2018 compared to the previous month, and decreased by 1.1% from the beginning of the year (by December 2017). In February, consumer sugar prices increased by 1.8%, and in annual terms (by February 2017) - decreased by 18%, according to Statkom RK.

BELARUS

According to Sugar.Ru monitoring data, Belarus shipped 11,400 tons of white sugar transit by the Russian railway in February, making year total - 18.9 thousand tons. The main receivers of Belarusian sugar in 2018 were: Kazakhstan (55%), Uzbekistan (24%) and Tajikistan (9%).
