RUSSIA
According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS conducted by Sugar.ru, in September 2017 Russia has exported 432.0 thousand tons of molasses. According to the results of 9 months of molasses export campaign, Russia has shipped out 432.0 thousand tons (in 2016 - 282.1 thousand MT; in 2015 - 170.1 thousand MT).
In the period January - September 2017, the main countries importers of molasses from Russia were TURKEY (54.50%) and SPAIN (14.87%)..

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, as of November 14, 2017, sugar beet in the country was harvested from the area of 1110.5 thousand hectares or 94.4% of total crop area (in 2016 - 1.0 million hectares).

UKRAINE
"Astarta" expects the signing of a $ 25 million loan agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB), incl. for financing of the construction of a sugar storage facility with a total capacity of 50,000 tons.

As of November 14, 1.36 million tons of sugar were produced out of 9.64 million tons of sugar beet processed at 41 sugar plants are operating, Ukrtsukor reports.

As of November 14, sugar beet was harvested from the area of 283 thousand hectares or 89% (plan 318 thousand hectares), 12.7 million tons of beets collected at an average yield of 45.0 MT/ha, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported.
