RUSSIA

In September 2017 Russia has exported 495.9 thousand tons of beet pulp. According to the results of 9 months of beet pulp export campaign, Russia has shipped out 495.9 thousand tons (in 2016 - 511.7 thousand MT; in 2015 - 402.1 thousand MT). In the period January - September 2017, the main countries importers of beet pulp from Russia were LATVIA (20.56%) and TURKEY (18.27%).

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, as of November 10, 2017, sugar beet in the country was harvested from the area of 1086.3 thousand hectares or 92.3% to the crop acreage (in 2016 - 1.0 million hectares).

According to the Federal Customs Service, the import of sugar from non-CIS countries has made the total value of 27.4 million US dollars in October 2017 (in October 2016 - 21.0 million US dollars).

KYRGYZSTAN

By November 10, the volume sugar beet harvested has made 647 thousand tons, which is more by 178.5 thousand tons compared to 2016. In early 2017, the Ministry of Agriculture forecasted to receive at least one million tons of sugar beet.

According to the National Statistical Committee, the average consumer sugar price was 48.93 KGS/kg in October 2017 (-5.73% compared to the previous month, -8.65% YTD and -11.66% by October 2016) or 41.20 rubles/kg at the exchange rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation for the middle of the reporting month.

UKRAINE

By November 10, sugar beet was harvested from the area of 271 thousand hectares or 85% of total crop acreage (acreage planned 318 thousand hectares), bulk harvest has reached 12.2 million tons at an average yield of 45.1 MT/ha, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of the country.
