RUSSIA

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, on October 12, 2017, sugar beet in the country was harvested from the area of 739.0 thousand hectares or 62.8% of the crop area (in 2016 - 604.3 thousand hectares).

Import of sugar from non-CIS countries amounted to 22.4 million US dollars in September 2017. In September 2016 the import of sugar from non-CIS countries was $ 27.2 million, and last month (August 2017) – $ 22.0 million, the Federal Customs Service informed.

UKRAINE

According to Ukrstat, as of October 10, 2017, the average consumer price of sugar in Ukraine was 15 UAH/kg (32.90 rubles/kg at the Central Bank exchange rate for the reporting day), which is 3.87% less than the price of the previous observation date 11 days ago. Over the year (since October 10, 2016) sugar has grown in price by 8.77%, in two years (since October 09, 2015) the price of sugar has increased by 11.86%. The highest prices are observed in the Dnipropetrovsk region - 15.82 UAH/kg, the lowest - in the Kiev region, 14.11 UAH/kg.

KYRGYZSTAN

According to the National Statistical Committee, the average consumer sugar price has made 51.91 KGS/kg in September 2017 (-11.39% compared to the previous month, -3.10% YTD and -8.31% versus September 2016) or RUR 43,53/kg at the exchange rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation for the middle of the reporting month

BELARUS

A volume of 1,840,000 tons of sugar beet was delivered to beet reception points; the state procurement order was fulfilled by 75%. The average field yield makes 460.04 MT from hectare which is 0.45 MT higher than last year. The sucrose content increases gradually and has reached 15.81%. Local rains restrain the harvesting of sugar beet.
